Fair pay and safe work are the baseline, not the story.
Sustainability is not just about materials. Between the bottle on a beach and the bag on your back there are real people, and the conditions they work in are part of what you are buying.
Plastic for Change
Our collection partner in India. They work with waste collectors in coastal communities, connecting informal collectors to structured networks that pay fairly and on time rather than at whatever rate a middleman sets that week.
That matters more than it sounds. Collecting ocean-bound plastic is already happening. Whether the person doing it earns a living from it is the part that is actually optional, and the part we pay for.

One factory, for years.
We produce in India with a partner we have worked with since the beginning. Not the cheapest quote we could find, and not rotated each season to shave a few cents, because a factory that knows your product makes a better one and a relationship that lasts is easier to hold to a standard.
Safe working conditions, fair wages and responsible production are not extras we advertise. They are the condition of working with us at all.

Audited to four standards
Held by our manufacturing partner, independently audited, renewed annually.
Consistent process, traceable batches, documented corrections when something goes wrong.
Water, waste and energy managed and measured at the site, not just at the material.
Occupational health and safety management, with incident reporting and review.
Working hours, wages, freedom of association and no child or forced labour, independently verified.
The limit of our certification.
Our Ocean Bound Plastic certification is held at supply chain level, not at brand level. Brand-level certification is in progress and targeted for 2026.
The four standards above are held by our manufacturing partner, not by us directly. We state this plainly because a claim you have to defend later is worse than one you never made.
