Frequently Asked Questions
Good question! We like to keep it simple: our approach consists of four steps.
1. Collecting plastic: Together with our friends from Plastic for Change we collect plastic from areas where it would otherwise end up in the ocean.
2. Cleaning & sorting: Everything is neatly washed and sorted.
3. Recycle: The plastic is given a new life as sturdy rPET fabric.
4. Relove: We use this material to make our products that you will be proud to wear.

Yes! All our products are 100% vegan and approved by PETA.
No leather, no wool, no animal glue – just honest materials, without animal suffering.
Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) is our mainstay - over 80% of every product is made up of it. But of course there are other components that play a role.
Zippers, buckles & padding
For these we currently still use new stainless steel and foam materials such as PE or EVA, depending on the model. We are actively looking for recycled alternatives that are just as strong and durable.
Shoulder straps & belts
We make those from recycled cotton - strong, comfortable and environmentally friendly.
We keep improving, together with local partners. The greener, the better.
Good stuff deserves a second life. That's why we have it TBC Buy Back Program.
